Dr. Umar Haque earned his dental degree from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine and completed General Practice Residencies at the University of Illinois and the University of Chicago.
He has led Oak Brook Smiles in Oakbrook Terrace since 2002, building a practice around a simple idea: patients deserve to understand exactly what's happening in their own mouths. Every exam comes with a plain-language explanation of what he sees, what it means, and what the options are — including the option to wait and watch.
His approach combines traditional comprehensive dentistry with a whole-health perspective and a genuinely gentle chairside manner. Patients regularly describe leaving an appointment feeling informed rather than lectured, and comfortable rather than judged.

Amanda's Case

AfterAmanda came to our office with a nice set of teeth but wanted them to look longer and whiter. Amanda is a regular on television but usually smiled with her lips only. Dr. Haque examined Amanda's mouth, got the diagnostic x-rays, photos, and models and came up with a game plan. This included whitening and veneers on her upper and lower front teeth.
